The 8 Step Process & Application

Editor’s insert: The notes below are an excerpt from The 8 Step Process & application brilliantly elucidated by Joseph Rodrigues.

There is a thinking stuff from which all things are made. A thought in this substance produces the thing that is imaged by the thought.

  • Ideas acted upon upon create reality
  • Raw materials of physical, mental, emotional can be configured to create something new and great.
  • “Thought is the only power which can produce tangible riches from the Formless Substance.

Everything begins with an idea

Man can form things in his thought, and by impressing his thoughts upon formless substance can cause the thing he thinks about to be created.

  • The more we think about something, the more it turns into desire.
  • The greater the desire we have upon something, the more we will act in accordance.
  • The more we act in accordance the more we attract in accordance.
  • The more we remove the ideologies that contradict these ideas, the more power we give this particular ideology.

Competition vs. Creation

In order to do this, man must pass from the competitive to the creative mind; other wise he cannot be in harmony with the Formless Intelligence, which is always creative and never competitive in spirit.

  • Competition exists where there is a game with certain rules.
  • Instead of competing, look for ways to create new realities that return riches in which you create the rules.

Harmony

Man may come into full harmony with the formless substance by entertaining a lively and sincere gratitude for the blessings it bestows upon him. Gratitude unifies the mind of man with the intelligence of Substance, so that man’s thoughts are received by the Formless. Man can remain upon the creative plane only be uniting himself with the Formless Intelligence through a deep and continuous feeling of gratitude.

  • The whole process of mental adjustment and atonement can be summed up in one word. Gratitude. First, you believe that there is one Intelligent Substance, from which all things proceed; second, you believe that this Substance gives you everything you desire; and third, you relate yourself to it by a feeling of deep and profound gratitude.
  • Gratitude will lead your mind out along the ways by which things come; and it will keep you in close harmony with creative thought and prevent you from falling into competitive thought.

Mental Imagery

Man must form clear and definite mental image of the things he wishes to have. To. Or to become; and he must hold this mental image in his thoughts. while being deeply grateful to the Supreme that all his desires are granted to him.

  • That clear mental picture you must have continually in mind, as the sailor has in mind the port toward which he is ailing the ship; you must keep your face toward it all the time. You must no more lost sight of it than the steersman loses sight of the compass.

Order

The creative energy works through the established channels of natural growth, and of the industrial and social order. All that is included in his mental image will surely be brought to the man who follows the instructions given above, and whose faith does not waver.

  • You can get into the business you want by making constructive use of the business you are already established in; by doing your daily work in a Certain Way.
  • Whether personally or by letter, the key thought of all your efforts must be to convey to their minds the impression of increase.
  • You are not obliged to do what you do not like to do, and should not do it except as a means to bring you to the doing of the thing you want to do.

Will Power

In order to receive his own when it shall come to him, man must be active; and this activity can only consist in more than filling his present place.

  • He must keep in mind the purpose to get rich through the realization of his mental image.
  • To get rich, you need only to use your will power upon yourself, When you know what to think and do, then you must use your will to compel yourself to think and do the right things.

Think Unlimited

MANY people will scoff at the idea that there is an exact science of getting rich; holding the impression that the supply of wealth is limited, they will insist that social and governmental institutions must be changed before even any considerable number of people can acquire a competence.

  • Do not concern yourself with questions as to how you shall surmount obstacles, which may loom upon your business horizon, unless you can see plainly that your course must be altered today in order to avoid them.
  • No matter how tremendous an obstruction may appear at a distance, you will find that if you go on in the Certain Way it will disappear as you approach it, or that a way over, through, or around it will appear.
