Toronto Hip Hop Culture; Youth Empowerment, Culture, and Movement
Today we sit down with the co-founder of the Toronto Hip Hop Cultural Centre, Freddy “Freeze” Lopez, and discuss how this self-funded, non-profit organization based in Toronto has been able to run such successful music programs out of Artscape Young place The Toronto Hip Hop Cultural Centre engages, inspires, and empowers youth as they immerse themselves in the culture of Hip Hop and the movement. Through BBoying (break dancing), MCing, Graffiti, and DJing, the THHCC breaks down Hip Hop as a culture and a movement for social justice.
