How Much Do You Know About Black History Challenge; Did You Know Special

Just the facts on our Did You Know Special. Dave and Simone battle each other to see who can come up with the most interesting unknown black history facts.
Did You Know began with Simone speaking on Ms. Sophia Steward.
Sitting in her home unemployed in the late 70’s, Sophia Stewart wrote books that were stolen from her by Warner Brothers. Terminator 1 – 4 and The Matrix were movies taken from her books.
It took her 30 years to win her lawsuit, where she won 2.4 billion dollars in the biggest Hollywood lawsuit.
Dave followed with the nefarious Black Adam.
“Did You Know” his first appearance in the comic book world predates the ever-popular Black Panther. Although, DC Comics has his first appearance listed during the 1970’s, the now defunct Fawcett Magazine had a one time appearance of this devious villain in 1945 in a comic known as the Marvel Family.
Next, “Did You Know” that Jack Daniels Whisky was created by an enslaved black man named Nathan “Nearest” Green.
“Nearest” (seated next to Jack) taught Jack Daniels how to make the whisky and since then the brand has made millions.
I wonder how much of us knew that!!!!
All in all, we had fun presenting tidbits of unknown Black History while doing what we do best, educating our people.
