Connecting & Aligning Strategically, Meet Alexa Joy Potashnik

Black Space Winnipeg Founder & President, Alexa Joy Potashnik

When Simone and I reached out to this week’s guest, we did it with the purpose of building bridges.  And let me tell you, Winnipeg, Manitoba is a good place to start. What Ms. Alexa Joy Potashnik has been able to accomplish, while fighting the good fight, is beautiful.

With a demographic of less than 4% of the population, it’s a no brainer on why Alexa wanted to create a safe space for Africans in the province of Manitoba. So she founded Black Space Winnipeg, a non-prfit organization that

creates safe spaces for people of colour through hosting community events, artist demonstrations and workshops.

Through programs like the Afro Prairie Film Festival, Project Heal, and Nuit Noire, we understand why our guest has been nominated as one of CBB’s Future 40 under 40.

We are so happy that we were able to connect with this resilient soul.

Sit back, relax, and welcome Ms. Alexa Joy Potashnik to Hear 2 Help.
