Toronto Welcome’s Dr. Julius Garvey, and 9 Black Entrepreneur Podcasts
Today’s show was inspired from two events. The first was the visit of Dr. Julius Garvey, son of the Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey. The second from an article I read on Pan-African Alliance’s website about Black Entrepreneur Podcasts.
So if you were in Toronto this past weekend, it was an event filled one. With so many festivities taking place in our lovely city of Toronto, it’s no wonder why our home has been on the world’s stage for years.
One of the major events that took place was the recognition of the Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey’s birthday and flag raising. This was attended by the son of the esteemed leader, Dr. Julius Garvey. Dr. Garvey’s visit to Toronto came on the heels of the Emancipation of the 400th year in bondage in the Americas. With stops at Toronto Fest, Rasta Fest, and a few other community speaking arrangements, Toronto was definitely set ablaze.
I personally had a change to listen to Dr. Garvey speak at the Jamaican Canadian Association on Monday about Economic Development. His message was strong and clear.
“There is no height to where we can climb.”
You want to tune into the first part of the show, where we dedicated it to the excitement which filled the Jamaican Canadian Association.
A special thank you goes out to the Global African Communities Network, the Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce, and all the other parties involved with this historic weekend.

The rest of the show was inspired from two things. The first, was the message of Economic Development through Entrepreneurship. The theme of the event I attended where Dr. Garvey was the keynote speaker. The second was from the Pan African Alliance Website article, Listen Up! The Top 10 Podcasts For Black Entrepreneurs.
It’s all about awareness and Hear 2 Help would like to send a special THANK YOU to Asad Malik and all the members for their continued work and dedication to our people. Please click here to read the article.
