Why does music move us the way it does?

Happy Tuesday all.

So, originally we were supposed to sit down with this wonderful Queen, the spice of the North, Ms Alicia Cinnamon to talk about music.

We even had questions to ask her like, “What is it about music?” We know the question is a little bit vague. But there’s so much to it.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, our interview didn’t go as planned. Luckily, we are able to shed some light on the Importance of Music in relation to us as Africans.

Simone and Dave share information which provided answers to a few thought provoking questions:

Why does music move us the way it does?

Is it spiritual? Is it science? Is it cultural?

Why are we as a people so moved by sound?

Tune in as we discuss music through a lens never thought of before on Hear 2 Help You.

We even had the pleasure of citing works from pioneers, Marimba Ani & Moustafa Gadalla.

Black music is sacred music. It is the expression of the divine within us.
